I have always been curious about the way in which the third and second place in the world cups is obtained and celebrated.

The third place is obtained by winning the penultimate match of the cup and the winning team retires happily, knowing that it is the third best in the world, big, grown, satisfied with the role played.

The second place, on the other hand, is obtained losing the last match. The team receives its recognition in the midst of a sense of defeat, missed goal, frustration, and anger. At least so far that's what we've seen in previous World Cups.

The case of Croatia has been different. After overcoming the first impact of the game not won, I could see in their players, the Technical Corps and their President the attitude that a runner-up should have. An attitude also winning, lively and satisfied of who is recognized as the second best in the world, the only one who managed to be that day on the playground disputing the World Cup with the new world champion.

Congratulations to both teams and especially Croatia for giving us a show worthy of greatness. No drama, no tears. Like a runner-up!
